80s Movies

Pacman came out in 1980
Donkey Kong in 1981
In 1982 hollywood gets interested in games.
They make videogame movies and they make movie videogames.
This leads to ET, "The worst game ever made."
Then the gaming industry crashed.

Tetris came out in 1984, it's my favorite game.
1987 Zelda came out.
1989 Gameboy and Powerglove. It looks so silly.

Now the movies.

The Blockbusters.
Easily categorised, recognisable characters.
Teenage comedies like Porkys and Revenge of the Nerds. High brow stuff.

John Hughes
He's the man, probably one of the best screenwriters ever. The teenage coming of age film is something that never really works at all, but John Hughes made a string of so many great ones. He basically just recreated a lame genre into something great again.

Too many sequels.

Airplane is one of the greatest comedy movies every made.
Leslie Nielsen is the best.
The fellers who directed Airplane made a series of the best spoof movies ever made and even a short lived spoof show. It's so good.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Another one of the best. Flawless execution of live action and cartoon stuff. It's the only movie where that's gone well.

Full Metal Jacket is great, you know how much I like Stanley Kubrick.
Gallipoli upsets me, I've seen it too many times.

Dance films too.
Flash dance
Footloose
Dirty Dancing.

The Goonies
Never Ending Story
Labyrinth
I used to love all these ones.

Howard the Duck.
This movie sucked

Superman.
I also used to love these. Batman too.

Goodbye Pork pie is good.

I love Meet the Feebles. Peter Jackson makes the best movies, especially before LOTR.
