Artist Statements

Melissa is making a comic album cover thing for her characters.
Focusing on the colour schemes and design philosophies of new wave album covers,as well as taking inspiration from the pallet and aesthetic of Wes Anderson's films.

Here are some statement tips.
Be honest
No cliches or long explanations
Don't brag
No personal stuff nobody cares about the cat I had when I was six.

Here's a shot at a statement.

There's nothing quite like a spaghetti western. At the time of the first spaghetti westerns, the characters were like nothing seen before, basically, they just didn't care. That's what I want to capture with these character sheets. I'm heavily inspired by the apathy of the characters in Sergio Leone's films. The characters do what they please, rolling around the desert with their hand in everybody's pie, taking no sides and always looking for more ways to get cash illegitimately. I hope that these characters can represent the same moral ambiguity just through these character sheets, without words or actions to display their morals.
