Vittorio De Sica directed the Bicycle Thief, a movie where a guy's bike gets taken and he has to find it. That really is all that happens, but it's genuinely one of the best movies ever made. I watched it a long while back with my dad, it was great. It's such a simple premise, but it genuinely is so captivating. That ending gets me every time, it's so somber but I can't keep my eyes off.
