Heavy Metal
What a film, just a lot of hardly related stories compiled together. Some are better than others, all of them are pretty bad. It's a good time. Pretty much nothing makes sense, it's just a whacky animation with a lot of profanities.
Tetsuo
I think I've already written about this one, but I played it on monday this week. It wasn't much of a crowd pleaser. People laughed at all the strange transformation scenes, but it's probably too slow to entertain a lot of people, even though it's only an hour long.
The Dark Crystal
It's lovely, I watched it as a youngster and didn't really like it, but it really is quite great. The puppets are all great, apart from the main character who looks too much like a little person. It's a pretty silly story, but that's excusable because of how good it looks.
Steven Universe The Movie
I've never seen any of the show so I didn't really get it. Anyway, there was too much singing in this movie. Not even the good kind of singing. They kind of just sung what was happening. It was super cheesy, but the animation was really quite nice. There was one character who was a clear homage to classic Mickey Mouse era animation who was animated so smoothly.
Megamind
I love this film. It seems like a bit of a joke, but it's genuinely such a well done movie. There are so many great shots and foreshadowing and all of that nonsense that people usually say about movies. It's really pretty amazing, even though everyone underestimates it.
Free Birds
Kinda lame.
